If you don’t have a goal, you’ll perish!
A goal is an extremely important element for human beings.
In fact, without having a goal, a person can end up dying.
According to an American study, when corporate workers retire and fail to set new goals, they die from various causes within an average of 18 months.
Only by having a goal can one truly unleash their “latent potential
Most people don’t use the majority of their brain’s capabilities.
They fail to use their imagination to visualize their future selves.
To unleash your latent potential, having a vivid mental image is essential.
Based on the latest neuroscience and psychology, we will introduce a specific mental training program called “affirmations.”
Are you living a life chosen by someone else?
Are you simply accepting as reality what your parents or friends have told you or what you’re doing, without question?
And then, you stop thinking beyond that.
That’s like settling for a life chosen by someone else.
Stop doing that starting today.
Intentionally create your own future and engrave your goals into your brain.
By doing so, your imagination will be unleashed, and the energy level of your consciousness will rise.
By using your power of visualization to change the way you see things, information that was blocked by scotomas will start to flow in.
When the images in your mind change, your life changes as well.
Opportunities don’t come by chance.
Most people believe that opportunities come from the outside, but that’s a misconception.
Opportunities don’t arrive by chance. Even though they are all around you, scotomas hide them from your view.
You create your life through the vividness of your mental imagery.
When your goals are strongly and realistically visualized, your comfort zone and scotomas are removed, allowing you to see what is necessary to achieve your goals—things you couldn’t see before.
Tips for Boosting Your Efficacy
People who are constantly worried about getting sick or having an accident are vividly imagining exactly those scenarios in their minds—and as a result, they often end up getting sick or having accidents.
This applies not only to health but also to financial issues, relationships, and all other areas of life.
In other words, they are setting negative goals.
Instead, if obstacles exist, visualize ways to avoid them.
If you have a self-image of being prone to accidents, your brain will unconsciously figure out ways to make that image a reality and act on them.
What are the Four Types of Self-Talk?
This is where self-talk becomes important.
Visualize clearly what you want.
Do not imagine negative things or things you don’t want.
Keep your distance from people who constantly focus on negativity or repeatedly point out problems.
They can contaminate your self-image.
There are four levels of self-talk.
The first level is negative resignation, saying, “I can’t do it.”
The second level is acknowledging the problem but lacking the intention to improve it: “I know the problem, but I won’t do anything about it.”
The third level is the decision not to do it anymore.
The fourth level is deciding not to do it anymore and visualizing an alternative action or behavior to replace it.
This is what affirmation is, and it’s crucial to reach the fourth level.
The problem with stopping at the third level is that there is no alternative image in place.
Without a concrete replacement action to do instead, you will inevitably fall back into the old behavior.
The Importance of Visualizing More Vividly
The key is how vividly you can imagine something without lowering the efficacy of your self-image.
By maintaining a higher level of efficacy than your current state, you create a psychological tension known as cognitive dissonance.
To resolve this dissonance, your unconscious mind will choose either to return to the current reality or move toward the world of your goal.
It naturally gravitates toward the scenario you can imagine most strongly in the moment.
This is why affirmations are so important.
When your mental imagery is vivid and immersive, it can become reality.
To make the alternative image feel even more familiar than the real world, you need to repeatedly and vividly visualize your goal world.
It’s crucial to maintain your efficacy at the highest level and realistically imagine that you are the kind of person who can achieve your goals.
Implementation! Mental Training
First, write down five things from your past experiences that you are extremely proud of.
Then, for four weeks, read them twice a day—once in the morning and once at night.
As you read them, you will likely re-experience the sense of accomplishment and pleasure associated with those moments. Allow yourself to feel the words and images fully.
By doing this daily, you will re-live those experiences, and your efficacy will steadily increase over time.
Next, write down a big dream that feels a little scary just to think about—something that would be truly amazing if it happened.
Then, when you read the five proud experiences you wrote earlier, channel the emotions you felt from those experiences like a shower of energy onto this dream.
Now, move on to the next step.
Write down five things in your life that didn’t go well.
Then, recall how you recovered from each of those experiences.
Don’t focus on the failure itself—focus on how you overcame it.
You are a strong person who has conquered hardships and is capable of overcoming difficulties.
By practicing this affirmation daily, you will begin to see one by one the ways to achieve your dreams and goals.
You will encounter your true dreams—ones that you couldn’t see before.
